Lets do this, the Psych convention may be a chance for a "mini-Marcabian Invasion" a la Comic Con...

there's also a different psych convention (child and adolescent shrinks) the week before the oct. 30th one.

check with the convention center. i really don't believe they'll let cchr, cos, or any other whackjobs anywhere near them.

so that would mean that cos will need another spot. in the past they've used the courtyard beside the civic theatre (the plaza with that cool "ship in the water" sculpture.

Are both events going to be at the convention center?


If we show up and they do like what they did in London (pull out after Anon planned to drop by), it's not a far walk back to the Org..

Definently get in touch with the Convention center... possibly let the event organizers know CCHR plans to drop by and we do to to let people know CCHR is a cults front group, etc.

Depending on how we approach the organizers, we could get permission to be sort of a barrier between CoS and the Marcab agen-- ert, I mean psychs. If they can see us but not the event, a definate win for us against their morale; they would be force to look at us, especially if we're on two sides.

Megaphone would be a must; even better, a small but loud PA [mic input and RCA input or 1/16 inch in needed] (a 40watt one can go for $150 or so [my stereo for instance can only go as loud at 2.5 watts]) [there's a thread on Enturb about good, portable PAs].. something to play OT3 and music to drown out drone chanting.
* I have some things that could work (generator + 50 watt amp [1/8 inch in + RCA in]

tl;dr: either way SD Anons are going to get shit done in style.. Contact, mabye rent a PA or use generator and amp

To add to the above, I have an epic scenario in my head...


The Scilons are near the trolley station by the fish place.. set up in marching shirts with matching tl;dr signs.

Not too long after they set up, an unmarked van rolls up across the street with banners rolled up near the top. One man staps out and opens the back doors.. When suddenly "Never Gonna Give You Up" starts playing, completely drowning out their drone chanting.
They look at each other confused and worried, when someone points something out: 3 group of Anons are marching towards them.. one group from the Convention Center, one from the Gaslamp and the other on the opposite side of where they're set up along the trolley tracks.

A voice comes over the music: "So i herd u gais liek being trolled?"

They should have braced for SD Anon epic, as each member of CCHR simutaniously shits his or her pants. A voice comes over the music again: "Guess what that smells like? Epic fail on your part."

A voice emerges from the Scilon crowd: "To arms, brethern! For Ron!" They all shout "For Ron!" and drawn swords.
The Anons then draw swords and axes too, with someone piping out with "WAIT FOR IT! DON'T STRIKE UNTIL YOU CAN SEE THE WHITE OF THEIR EYES!"

The crosslight says walk and the Scilons rush forward, yelling.
Weapons hack and slash through torsos and limps, gore spraying everywhere (gore that will later be used to troll), heads dropping with a thud. An epic battle plays out until Xenu shows up and drops an H bomb.

An Anon picks up a radio and announces to a forward base: "They can be beat. Forward this information, to everyone, everywhere.."
People are shown sending morse code signals in Israel and Russia and such like in that movie Independence Day, amirite?

All over the word we get epic wins, TC blows and publicly appoligizes and resorts to star in badly acted gay porn to make money, the FBI raids orgs across the world. Then we go for an epic march to our nearest orgs and say

"WE ARE THE FINAL BOSSES OF TEH INTERWEBS!! HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR . . ."
We then eat caek and go back to browsing /b/. The end.

iirc, the traveling exhibit is large and very unwieldy -- much like those silly sign things they throw up in front of the org when anons come calling. it's a royal pain in the ass to set up, takes 4 people a couple of hours. it's a nightmare. they're gonna need some serious space for this thing.

I notified the organizers of the psych convention months ago. Now that the time is getting close, I think it's time to fire the harpoons. Just in case the organizers need a reminder.

so.... i guess that means im not going to talk to them. OKAY! guess we just have to sit back until the week of, then kick this into high gear.

I'll dig in my list of Convention Center contacts and see what I can find, also if Elite is running security for the event.

I'll also contact the SDPD and Harbor Police and let them know we'll all be in the area along with getting some blackup from LA.

Should we try to arrange /b/lack up, assuming they will show en mass [it's a national conference, after all], or should we stick with SD Anons? On our own, I'm sure we can handle them with just SD Anons.. (see: solo Hungarian Anon vs. CCHR in Prague)

i'd say we can use all the /b/lackup we can get, the larger presence we can show, the more enturbulated the scilons will become which means more likely to try and bullbait and make themselves look like idiots, besides the fact that there could be a lot of national coverage on something of this scale. we should make them look like a bunch of weak jackasses, which is what they are.
