IRC issues...

Is anyone else having troublez connecting to IRC? Everytime I try, it says "Conection refused" with that being the only error. Anyone have suggestions?

Some users have moved to irc.suppressivepersons.org (i haven't, as yet)

there are good reasons to use nickserv and register an IRC name/passwd
but mostly they have to do with securing positive recognition of your identity
(vs impersonators, etc)

Unless you need/want to verify that the anon you're talking to is the anon you think you're talking to
or want to be able to prove that you are the anon you claim to be,
its just another layer of useless namefraggery, IMO.

however, whether you regged on partyvan IRC or not,
any infos (IPs, nicks, etc, etc) you did leak can now probably be considered compromised.

Though, it looks so far like another lameass anon haxor group
rather than the CoS this time.

irc.suppressivepersons.org on #battletoads and #xenu seems to be fairly empty. less than 30 people I think someone said that it was Bostenfags' local IRC. Oh well. Things will probably be settled and a new offical IRC put up in a week or so.

The partyvan IRC has been fixed, as long as you changed your password. That's our official one right now as SuppressivePersons is really Boston's channel.
