I have always been an internet addict; living the normal nerdy sheltered life in the shadows of my room, hiding from society because it is frankly too goddamn boring.
When digg was getting flooded with chanology submissions a few months ago, it was hard not to pay attention to anonymous. It was such an intriguing, interesting concept....almost revolutionary. But what really made me want to speak out was a series of events that PISSED me off.
According to Tory Christman, "Scientology, YOU make your own enemies."
She hit the nail on the head, everything she says is the truth but I will reflect on that quote right now. After witnessing youtube pulling xenutv's account, people being fairgamed while protesting, and hearing people defend $cientology in real life, I feel the need to speak out. Also seeing the Atlanta protests really got me irritated. FUCK POLICE STATES. Scientology is buying out the police, the government, THIS NEEDS TO STOP.
It is my goal to inform the public as best as I can. Hopefully a few of my friends will be joining the May 10 protest with me, I bought masks for them incase if they decide to come or not. If not, I'll bring the masks to help out to hand to anons who forgot theirs (ummm if scilons are trolling, this does not mean for you.)

I might as well share my story!
I became anon several years ago, around the days of 10m get, for anyone who cares. I was an active netaddict kid, ranging everywhere from 4chan, fark, the REAL ebaumsworld, SomethingAwful and YTMND.
A few years ago, YTMND got involved in a war with Scientology over The Unfunny Truth about Scientology, which everyone has seen now. Like alot of people at that time, we spent a few hours at the least reading up on it before going "wow, that's some crazy shit," and turning off the computer or going back to porn.
I've always been a bit of a moralfag and only participated in a few of the activities that Anon did before Chanology, namely the Hal Turner raids and the pedo baiting. When Anon decided to take on the CoS, I got excited.
Since then I've helped everywhere I can, even by setting up this website. I've talked to ex members, family that has been disconnected, and seen the injustices of the CoS first hand and am dedicated to reorganizing the organization to out DM and bring him to justice for his crimes.
I have nothing against people who believe space aliens blew up other aliens millions of years ago and that our bodies are inhabited by their souls. After all, I am of the belief that God made a virgin pregnant, and three decades later he was nailed to a piece of wood and we get to go to the magical place in the sky.
The members of Anonymous are the first generation that truly have grown up with the worldwide comminication from the internet. There are no more barriers besides actual distance, and to see the instant communication and action of thought from all over the world is truly remarkable.
Anonymous will not be the last group that assembles like this, now that the power of the Internet and worldwide communication has been show, but we were the first. Regardless of wether this motion accomplishes all its goals or not, this is a moment in history and I am proud to be a part of it.

I too became anon years ago. Before 4chan, I went to YTMND pretty much every day back when it was funny and people had semi-original content. Then I found out that YTMND was pretty close to a place called 4chan, so I went there and found it hilarious. So I became anonymous right around 15m-20m get. I can't remember exactly when but basically all you need to know is I'm not a newfag. I followed all the major raids but never actually participated in any of the real life raids until March 15th. I witnessed the downfall of Hal Turner, Chris Forcand, and many other unsuspecting assholes. The first I EVER heard of Scientology was the unfunny truth about Scientology YTMND, I researched it and sure enough everything in that YTMND proved to be true. I never really did anything about it until now because I didn't have the means to do anything about it. When I heard about Anonymous declaring war on Scientology, I knew things were going to get interesting. So here I am now. Just another day in the life of an anon.

Ever since I herd and read about all the crimes Scientology has committed I've been against them. I feel its important to inform the public about this cult because its good at what it does. Brainwashing, steeling, threatening, and destroying families. These protests are a perfect way for me to help educate the public as well as let my frustration at the CO$ out.

I got into Chanology for the lulz but stayed for the great justice. There were lots of great lulz in the begining. and the lulz continue to this day.
Even though i consider myself a newfag and i'm not quite fulent in chanspeak, Ive been in this since the first DDoS attempt. However, i was on the fence about actually doing IRL raids untill i read about Paulette Cooper. Personally i think that there will always be scam artists out there to get vulnerable/stupid people and that it is more or less their fault for falling for the lie. HOWEVER, when you start going after people that know better and want to help others then i have a problem with it.
In all honesty, if there were no lulz in Chanology i don't think i'd still be here. It would be just like another other protest. If there was no "for the greater good" i know i wouldn't be as invalved as i am. But, Chanology has both so i'll be here untill the end, whatever that may be.

Their lies were so transparent. Their methods were so clearly coercive. They appear to be completely out of touch with reality.
But, the program that fired me up, a 2 hour A&E program "Inside Scientology," showed how the cult treats its most dedicated members like property. Slaves. And their actions against critics was revolting to me...who the HELL do these people think they are?
So, I walked the 4 blocks to the org one day to join 2 other critics in a protest. Three of us, woo! And the next week, the cult had distributed lying fliers about me to my neighbors, who brought me copies. I told them it was Scientology, as they'd only described themselves as a "Peaceful religious group" on the flier. It said I'd gone to Florida to harass them, not true. The only time I've been to Florida was in 1984, with a punk band, the 'UK Subs.' I sold t shirts of my own design, and didn't know diddly about the cult back then.
I might've quit, until those fliers. Then it was personal. And also, entertaining as hell. Car chases! Stalkers! False police complaints! Libel and slander!
None of it scares me. It's so pathetic and feeble, and they're so SURE it'll discourage if only they do it right.
And speaking of right, it is on our side. Firmly planted in issues of human rights, truthiness, and basic human decency, which Scientology lacks.
I want to be there when it all implodes. I will dance my ass off on Scientology's demise.
