Last May, the Scientology organization in San Diego purchased the Coleman College campus in La Mesa. They immediately began an effort to gain public support in the community by holding a "Disaster Preparedness Seminar" at the campus. Why Scientologists would be the experts in disaster preparedness is a mystery. The event was a waste of time for both Humane Society and Fire Department personnel who were invited to give a presentation.
Only a handful of Scientologists attended. The public was notably absent, save for a band of masked protesters on the sidewalk outside.
On Halloween, some of those same protesters went through the neighborhoods around the campus, offering information about Scientology impact in other communities. Their history in Riverside, Los Angeles, and Clearwater, Florida shows there is cause for concern.
In the 1970s, the organization was raided by the FBI. Hundreds of stolen government documents were recovered. Dubbed "Operation Snow White," this attempt by Scientology to infiltrate government offices still remains the largest domestic espionage case in American history.
Scientology representatives insist they were only caught for "stealing Xerox paper."
Xerox paper with government files printed on it!
Scientology doctrine was produced by one man, pulp science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. This doctrine cannot be altered; and, since Hubbard died in 1986, will not be revised until he returns with his new body from the implant station on Mars and identifies himself.
In a lecture entitled "Future Org Trends" given January 9th 1962, L. Ron Hubbard said:
"You want to know what happens when you clear everybody in that neighbourhood, the only
thing that [Scientology] center can become used for is a political center. Because by the time you've done all this, you are the government..."
"Once the world is Clear - a nation, a state, a city or a village - the Scientology organization in the area becomes its government! And once this has taken place the only policy accepted as valid is Scientology policy."
Other policies issued by Hubbard recommended the removal of people who do not wish to be part of the Scientology movement, and instructions on how to infiltrate and influence local government. For example:
"A nation or a state runs on the ability of its department heads, its governors, or any other leaders. It is easy to get posts in such areas unless one has delusions of grandeur or fear of it. Don't bother to get elected. Get a job on the secretarial staff or the bodyguard, use any talent one has to get a place close in, go to work on the environment and make it function better. Occasionally one might lose, but in the large majority, doing a good job and making the environment function will result in promotion, better contacts, a widening zone.
The cue in all this is don't seek the co-operation of groups. Don't ask for permission. Just enter them and start functioning to make the group win through effectiveness and sanity."

Although this was written in 1960, it is part of their doctrine which is followed to this day. Case in point, a recent newsletter from the San Diego OT Committee, a group of upper level followers. Part of the newsletter brags about inroads into local La Mesa community groups.
"From the President:
Dave Meyer is actively going to city councils in San Diego County and getting them to sign the anti hate petition. This positions us with other organizations on the topic of Human Rights.
The Church has been invited to join a coalition of community members with the La Mesa Police Department. There are about 24 organizations that handle youth in La Mesa. They have programs to coordinate all the different activities.
We are getting more press in “Topics”(sic, it's Topix) the La Mesa online magazine, particularly regarding Human Rights and have been invited to participate in the East county Flag Day event."
Supporting human rights is an admirable goal. But, when it is mere lip service used as camouflage for a group whose history shows a clear disregard for same, it becomes a hypocritical ploy to access lines of money and power. Scientology's history is disreputable at best, and anyone who mistakes this cult for a church has not done enough research.
Thanks to Scientology infiltration, Clearwater, Florida has become a frightening wasteland of empty storefronts, security guards, squadrons of Scientologists being marched in formation downtown.
Riverside County is also "under the influence." Recently, their pet County Supervisor Jeff Stone promoted an ordinance that will eventually prohibit protests outside the cult's armed compound north of Hemet. Recently, 110 letters from Gold Base inmates were sent to Supervisor Bob Buster, the only holdout to vote against Ordinance 884.
Amusingly, nearly every letter stated, "I am in favor of free speech, BUT..."
That's a big but. Free speech for everyone except people who speak out against Scientology's abusive practices. Germany has rightly defined it as a "totalitarian cult that is a danger to democracy." And they should know from totalitarian cults.
Scientology is also listed as a supporter of 'United For A Hate Free San Diego.' Also listed are 'Youth For Human Rights,' a Scientology front group. Notice how President David Meyer describes their participation:
"This positions us with other organizations on the topic of Human Rights."
"Positions us." They want people to believe they are aligned with human rights groups.
They're also involved with the San Diego Interfaith Alliance. They want to be positioned alongside of real churches in our community.
Everything Scientology does is meant to further Scientology influence in our communities. From their anti-drug educational outreach, which has been expelled from public schools in Hawaii and California, to 'Youth For Human Rights' and the 'Drug-Free Marshals,' everything is intended to get L. Ron Hubbard into the core of the community.
So, if you don't want Scientology reaching your children through these front groups and influencing local politicians, do some research. Google is your friend. Everything mentioned here can be googled, and I assure you, you will be shocked and dismayed.
Too often, people assume that, because they claim to be religious, they can be trusted.
Thing is, Scientology trains their people to lie, and one must verify every claim to learn the truth behind it.
The San Diego Scientology machine is already working behind the scenes in La Mesa. The totalitarian cult founded by a hack writer is here! What are you going to do about it?
