| Does anyone know anything about the Chula Vista location? their website says their hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 4:00 - 6:00 PM & Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, so they're obviously pretty small. if anyone really has a hankering for some enturbulatin', this could be another option. I'm somewhat familiar with the area, there's not a lot of foot traffic although it's near chula vista's downtown area, which is sort of busy. oh, and hi, i'm new to the boards | |

| Aye, after the Flag raid.
Recommend a wide distribution of fliers en espanol spread around the area. I've seen cult garbage in taco shops and corner markets so I'm betting they're shilling around CV. Also should drop off material to local churches in the immediate vicinity.
I mean, REAL churches. | |

| I speak spanish so I can definitely help both with materials (although enturb has forums for translation which facilitates that) and with my actual presence if we do some sort of demonstration... | |

| Its more showing that we aren't the gringos from down town.
When was younger, they didn't really care who I was, as long as I spoke spanish I was cool.

| Chula Vista definitely has a high Spanish speaking population. It is also filled with Filipinos. I live in the South Bay so I'll definitely look around this neighborhood. By the way, if anyone needs Japanese translation, hit me up | |

| Some more info if you guys are interested...
The Mission is right down the street from the Chula Vista police station, so making friends with the police is advised, along with being on your best behavior. Not a whole lot of foot traffic, although there's a lot of cars and a lot of little shops in the area, along with parks. Dunno how staffed the mission is, and it's apparently only open certain hours/days. There's a big parking structure across the street that's good for parking. If you want to park farther, it's in a suburban area so there's lots of places you can park on the street. Spanish flyers would be good, but be careful to not assume someone speaks it. Not every brown person speaks Spanish (or speaks it well)!

| I wanna do Chula Vista, ObamAnon has an enturbulation jones.
The fact that it has limited hours of operation may indicate a lack of funds and interest to keep it open regular hours. I call for a coup de grace.

| Well I know Char said he speaks spanish, and that's an important skill. I don't know how many people I've seen avoid us that I think would be a little more attracted to our cause if they knew english. Spanish translations of certain flyers already exist, and I'll look through some of the others to make spanish versions of them. It would also be smart to make a sign that is in both languages. Message would have to be shorter, but I think it looks better than having a spanish only sign (we are, after all, in the US ;D) I'll see if I stop by the area and take some pics of the location and places around there so those who have never really been to Chula Vista can be more acquainted if a raid does happen there. | |
