Are the barriers up today? Watch for a "surprise guest" later on. Yes, they are. I made a cameo around 1 pm.
We also have the Magic Wog Bus, plus two stereos for different sides of the street marching and such.
Anons almost got arrested earlier. (thoguh I wasn't there.. want details? you may have to wait) Details as soon as possible, thankfully you where not arrested, details sound very sketchy but at most I hear soemthing about demasking (General details removed as an Anon there posted about it below)

| I'll post a whole recount of the night later, but I do want to make clear what the police told me (I believe they talked to me the most) and why I feel we were victims of cruel coincidence.
At about 10 I went to the other side of the street to grab some drinks. On my way back I noticed a police car coming down, but I didn't do anything about it because I think it would look suspicious for someone to tell everybody to "act well" in front of police. We have nothing to hide. No reason to 'alert' others of the police.
Suddenly their sirens turned on, and as I saw that I did tell them all to quiet down. It's important to note the very different tone this had SINCE THE BEGINNING. As soon as the cops came out she took the drinks from me and told me to stand aside her vehicle. The other cop in the car and a motorcycle cop who I don't know when arrived did similarly with every anon there. She asked me if I had a police radio, and I told her about the two radios FTP brought and the two Roflcopter bought that day. I was completely upfront about it all, and was cooperative. She felt around my pants for anything and then, yes, asked us all to demask, took our information and took photos against the white border against the scientology building. FTP and Soldier were cuffed until one of the officers realized there was no reason anymore.
What apparently happened was that there was a robbery perpetrated by a hispanic male with a scream mask and a knife. They saw a hispanic male with a mask walking across the street in broad daylight (presumably soon after the robbery) and stopped me, thinking they had found the guy. Then there were more. They had no idea about out cuase (Even asking us about why we cared, why we were there). For that reason as well, it seems, they were completely unaffected by the mention of fair game.
Some time later another cop came by and seemed to have a different outlook. She mentioned a police officer we had talked to in a previous day and I think she WAS aware of the situation. I believe she was the officer called by the scientologists, briefed on what we do or something.
There was a lot of talk about Scientology "stepping up their game" but the only example of that was their new signs.

| Seems like a bad case of a crossfire with you guys just being there and the police. Understandably they had a right for suspicion, but to not know the difference between a scream and a Guy Fawkes mask?
Now the major fallout of this is that skinjobs definitely might have fair-gamed you right there. At least now you can explain fair game to people when they baaaaw about the masks being too scary.
What was the head-count of the people supposedly cuffed for mistaken identity, you all get custom signs for next major Operation.

They just came after ANONdur without explanation at first and then they were handcuffing the others. Shit was not so cash.

| I'll contact the SDPD and find out what's up.
I see both sides of it, honestly, and it really seems that it was just a bad coincidence and nothing more.
People transfer to different areas of the city - it's entirely possible that some newer people that hadn't heard of us before or dealt with us before saw the masks and thought something was going down.
Not only that, but thieves have been known to change clothes when they leave the scene of a crime, and there have been a recent string of robberies here in San Diego where people wear masks. If they came upon a group of Anons, they might have thought that the robber was part of a gang of robbers that was about to hit people in the area. One of the reasons that this city is awesome is because of the type of response the SDPD has to such instances.
Taking information down is SOP for things like that and while it does suck this happened, I think the way you guys handled it was excellent and made sure nobody got into the back of a car, and now the cops in question are informed.
Just be careful out there. If Scilons were taking pictures, or they had some pictures of Dur and Soldier in handcuffs, then they may be spinning their PR machine into high gear.

| It was actually FTP and soldier who were handcuffed. Unless you count them grabbing my thumbs from behind me.
I would like to agree with Anonagi's assumption of our behavior. I was as helpful as possible when asked to do anything. When asked to take my mask off I explained the situation and asked to go out of the way, but took it off after the officer asked again. Soldier seemed to be the most worried at the time about the face-fagging and asked them to tie a bandana around his face or something but even then he was very cooperative. We all were.
That's not to say I'm happy with our behavior overall for the whole day. Just in that one instance. I will write out a full report later.

| well as my first protest I have to say that it was both fun and enlightening. I crashed in my car at 3:00 never to wake till 11:00 the next morning but the weirdest thing to me as how they reacted to us. The majority of them were scared to peak out, and when they did and we saw them. They would scurry away back into their building... wtf. If you don't want to your organization to exude a sense of brainwashing, then at least brainwash them to not act like it. Shit. It was fun meeting you all and work pending I will try to get out there as often as I can to join David in his cause. Oh and I have some anon's bandana that I accidentally stole in my incoherent state of drowsiness. Soldier I think, but I'm not sure. I'll bring it next time | |

| You have AnonSoldier's bandana. Also, it was nice meeting you too and seeing everyone there. It was nice seeing barb there too because I was starting to worry.
It was a good day despite of how it started off.
The one thing that got to me the most besides the whole police thing was the silly petty arguements that happened primairly in front of the org. (David, you all know who you are). Children, music, of any sort, is fine, as long as it's music and playing at the proper loudness. It's not a big deal to some folks, but I don't think that Anons should be arguing, fighting, or whatever when we're out there. Especially if we're right there if front of the damn thing.
Also, I think that adds on to the behavior assumption and to the fact that some scilon might be like "Hmmm, Petty Anon is petty. They're not really united as one and divided by zero," or whatever.
Just a thought. | |

Just a thought. Argueing Anons = footbullet if caught on video. Would/could be twisted to show division amonst Anons, which is not the case. Any sort of music should be fine.. the exception would probably be things from my very large brutal death metal and goregrind collection. That stuff is unlistenable to most and not the right kind of lulz. If anyone wants to give it a try though, I'll bring some next time. Ha. Question: Who ended up going home with my stereo? Just so I know for sure.

| Not everybody shares your open-mindedness about music, DaftAnon. Instead of hearing a variety of artists from everybody's playlists we got to hear about 40 songs played for 20 hours. | |

| That too was a problem. We need more variety, not just a whole lot of one thing. Though, STAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLERSTAPLER was pretty funny. I suggested some music before, but no one listens to this nigra. Hardstyle and old school rap would be fine too | |

| 1. Bandana-Keep it. I'm leaving town Tuesday and not coming back for at least a year minimum. Think of it as a keepsake, and go read the webcomic that makes it. Funny stuff.
2. Aruging-We have no leader, we were all very tired and stressed out with frayed nerves, and none of that is conducive to calm discussion with varying viewpoints. In the future, when the collective needs to reach a decision then people need to FOCUS and be amicable to discussion. The biggest trouble was keeping everyone on target, Anonymous has the attention span of an ADD squirrel on crack. That was what caused the arguing IMO.
3. SOP needs to be expanded to deal with situations when groups of Anons are forced to split from the main group. Especially for night ops where safety risks increase. Simple rules like "No Anon travels alone", alerting people when going off from the group with [who, what, and where] info, and establishing a rally point. If all else fails, go there. It should be somewhere easy to find like the fountain or the Org. Wherever Anons will be heading back to when all is said and done.
4. Good luck and Xenu speed to all of you. It's been great meeting you, raiding alongside you, and even getting facefagged with some of you. I'll be keeping on the boards to continue to share my insights and guidance with the collective to further aid everyone, and rest assured that while I may be unable to attend protests I won't stop fighting the good fight. YFTC is my new weapon of choice, and I'll be slipping cards everywhere I go.

I'd like to see them try and spin this convo "PLAY LITTLE GIRLS, PLAY LITTLE GIRLS! EVERYONE HERE WANTS LITTLE GIRLS!" "NO LITTLE GIRLS SUCKS" "RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU WANT LITTLE GIRLS" *Everyone but dur raises their hand* "SEE WE WANT LITTLE GIRLS" "NO WE PLAYED THAT TOO MUCH TODAY!" (We didn't actually play it before the conversation, and we waited like an hour to hear little girls.)
